What is Mandu?
Mandu is a traditional Korean dish that has changed according to history, region and climate. It consists of a thin layer of dough that is filled with various ingredients and wrapped up in different shapes. It is cooked in several methods; boiling, frying and steaming. It is a Korean tradition to pray for good fortune in the new year as it is said that the shape of dumplings made by putting stuffing in the wrapper is like a lucky pouch that encloses good fortune.
